The Vision of First Church is to be a people who faithfully fulfill the mission God has given us.  We believe Jesus himself gave us our mission when he left this earth for heaven.  Matthew recorded his instructions in the last chapter of his gospel, chapter 28, verses 19 and 20.  "Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them everything I have commanded you."  As a church, we are all about making disciple of Jesus Christ!

     We are called to share the love of God.  We want to be a vibrant center of Christian activity in the heart of our community.  We want to have a positive impact on the lives of people.  We want to set a high moral tone for our community.  We want to strengthen families.  We want to be a positive force in the lives of our youth.  We want to help our members grow spiritually.  We want to help meet the spiritual and physical needs of those in our fellowship, those in our community, and those we can reach around the world. We want to bring others into the fellowship of First Church. 

     First Church is a fellowship of people who have experienced the love of God in our lives, who believe the good news that God's love and grace bring eternal salvation, who are eager to grow in discipleship, and who are eager to spread the love of God to others.  To do all that, and more, you need a plan.  You can click on the link button to the left to learn more about the CITE plan for making disciples.  The Mall Ministry button will tell you more about our ministry philosophy here at First Church.
