First Church is committed to seeking God in prayer.  We lift up prayer as one of the pillars on which First Church stands.  We encourage an active prayer life for all our members and friends.  To that end, we maintain our prayer resources page on this web site.  Our prayer team meets every Tuesday morning at 10:00 at the church to pray for the needs of our church, community, and beyond.  If you have a prayer request just call the church office. 

     Of course, you can pray anywhere, but we have designated and equipped some special spaces around the church as "prayer nooks."  They are marked by signs like the one at the left.  Currently there are prayer nooks in the library, the Kraut Memorial sanctuary, and at the "old church wall" in the basement off the Central avenue stairs.  Stay tuned, there are more to come.
