COMMUNITY EVENT -Musical Celebration Honoring America 250

COME CELEBRATE 250 YEARS OF AMERICA

Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 4 PM | First UM Church, Van Wert, OH

This musical event will feature organist Matthew Wachtman, an active organist from Defiance, Ohio. He currently serves as Director of Music and Worship at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Archbold, OH. Since the concert will be held at First United Methodist Church, he will be playing their Noehren organ, which had multiple year restoration completed in 2024 after being originally installed in 1979.

Musical guests will include Paul and Annette Hoverman, Jake Wilder, a select choir, brass, and percussion. Song selections will include Grand Choeur Dialogue’ by Gigout, In His Hands by Raney, God Bless America, and Stars and Stripes Forever.  

This concert is free and open to the public.  Doors will open at 3:30 PM.
