Leading Courageously: Celebrating Our New Ministry Milestones

To Lead Courageously is to answer God’s call even when the path requires immense dedication, vulnerability, and deep faith. It means stepping forward to guide, comfort, and inspire others.
During the West Ohio Conference Annual Conference in May, we witnessed this kind of courageous leadership firsthand. Several of our own leaders were recognized for their commitment to answering the call to serve. Please join us in celebrating and praying for them as they embark on these new chapters!
🌟 Certified Lay Ministers: Jamie Ramos & Jana Thompson
We are incredibly proud to announce that Jamie Ramos and Jana Thompson have officially completed their extensive training to become Certified Lay Ministers.
Jamie and Jana were among just nine dedicated individuals across the entire conference who chose to lead courageously by completing this rigorous program. As Certified Lay Ministers, they are uniquely equipped to conduct public worship, care for the congregation, and expand our outreach. Stepping into lay leadership takes a bold heart, and we are so grateful for their willingness to use their gifts to guide our community.
🕊️ Commissioned Provisional Elder: Pastor Christian Taylor
We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to Pastor Christian Taylor on his commissioning as a Provisional Elder.
Ministry demands a special kind of courage—the willingness to shepherd a community through all of life's seasons. This milestone represents years of education, discernment, and a steadfast commitment to Word, Sacrament, Order, and Service. Pastor Christian embodies what it means to lead courageously, letting faith outrun fear.
“May he continue to bring the love of Christ to all he serves, leading us with bold faith, wisdom, and grace.”
Let’s Celebrate Their Courage!
God is doing amazing things through leaders who dare to step forward. When you see Jamie, Jana, or Pastor Christian, please take a moment to thank them for their dedication and congratulate them on these wonderful achievements.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7
