The Safe Sanctuary Policy ensures that the members and staff of First United Methodist Church do all they can to provide a safe and secure environment for nursery children, preschoolers, children, youth, and all persons entrusted to our care. These policies and procedures protect our children, youth, employees, volunteers, and entire church family at First United Methodist Church in Van Wert, OH.
By establishing these policies and procedures, we demonstrate our commitment to providing a safe environment for our children and youth as they grow in their relationship with God. Although it is unlikely that we can completely prevent abuse in every circumstance, following these procedures can significantly reduce the risk of abuse.
